"SAVE THE GREEN & BLUE BEFORE OUR FUTURE GENERATION HAS TO PAINT EVERYTHING BLACK!" - those were the words coined for the World Environment Day 2021 by those of us who care for Our Mother Earth.
Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan observed World Environment Day on Saturday, 4th June 2022. Students and faculty included, participated enthusiastically in this program. The principal Ms Meetali Archit was present at the program and addressed the gathering.
The objective of this year's observation is to spread awareness among students about saving our environment from various types of pollution. There is a great need to plant plenty of trees to make our mother earth retain her green blanket.
After the morning assembly, The students planted the herb saplings they had brought with them. The students also displayed posters and spoke about the history and importance of observing World Environment Day. They also recited a poem and staged a skit. Then the entire school took a pledge to care for mother Earth and practice sustainable living.
The theme #OnlyOneEarth was highlighted in the principal's speech.
Volunteers of the 'Save Soil' campaign by the Isha Foundation also graced the occasion.
The students were motivated to indulge in and encourage those around them to engage in activities that will make our Earth a better place to live in.
