Cabinet Election 2019 – 20 was a hectic activity spread over a fortnight from 5th June to 20th June. It kept the entire campus of NVN abuzz with activities like filing nomination papers, campaigning, pre and post opinion polls which culminated in the actual task of Electronic Voting on the 20th. Candidates contesting for the various positions of the Students’ Cabinet were given their respective Election Symbols representing their portfolios. It was heartening to witness the earnest efforts put in by the candidates to win the confidence of the electorate. The posts of School Head Boy, Head Girl, Speaker, Sports Captain, Cultural Secretary and the House Captains were keenly contested, creating an electrifying atmosphere at Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan. After successful completion of exercising their franchise, The counting of Votes was completed and the anxiously awaited results were declared on Monday, the 23rd, Kudos to the efficient team of teachers led by Mr. Harish, the Physics Teacher, Chief of the Election Committee. for making the students election a real thrilling and experience.
On 27 June 2019 a grand and colourful Investiture Ceremony was held at NVN. The newly elected office Bearers of the Students Council were bestowed with the ‘Badge of Honour’ and were sworn in by the diginitaries present.Smt. Kalpan Mohan, Freelance Education Consultant was the Chief Guest who gave a befitting speech to the students. Dr. Deshikachar, the Director of Nagarjuna Group of Institutions presided over the function. The Principal, Smt. Leena B.H graced the occasion. Smt. Chandana Bhagchi, Asst. Students of Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan participated in the Young Innovative Program of IIT Kharagpur. Students designed „Vision Alert‟ which can be used by the blind and help them to lead a more convenient and independent life. The visually impaired find it difficult to stay independent and even perform simple activities. Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan students have designed and developed Vision Alert, a probing white cane which comes with additional features such as obstruction alerting system, security system, personal digital assistant system, GSM module, navigation unit and person identification system .
Born to parent’s Chidananda Kamath Chevar and Dr. Shwetha C Kamath, Sinchana has taken the best of qualities of both parents. She has a sibling in her older brother, Sathwik C Kamath who is also a brilliant student and a sports person. It is a fiction mythology book. Sinchana says that this book is not about the Mahabharata, as many would assume by the name. She says that she has imagined Kunthi in the story of Kalki. She has taken the character kunthi as in the stories of the past, kunthi has always been shown as a weak, helpless woman and that she wanted to show kunthi as a warrior.
The Kunthi book was released in Sapna Book House, Mangalore on 17th May 2019. She also had an event in Sapna Book House- the RMZ Galleria mall, Bengaluru. She exclaims that many of her respectful relatives, trusted friends and encouraging teachers were present in the event.

Nagarjuna Vidyaniketan received yet another award, this time at national level with an all Indian rank No 2 under STEM Education Excellence. This award is given for Innovative practices at Primary / Secondary Education by a Grand Jury Award 2018 solely for remarkable performance in the identified area. It’s an outcome of one and all involved in the overall development of the school.
